Pacific Crest Trail Summary Videos

Now that we have completed the entire 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), we decided to summarize our trekking journey by creating two different videos.

The first video provides a visual summary of our PCT trek. Over four non-consecutive years we hiked through the states of California, Oregon, and Washington. This video shows the highlights from the route, taking the viewer in a continuously northern direction from the Mexican Border to the Canadian Border.

Our PCT hiking sections were:

  • Mexican Border to Mission Creek – April 17 to May 5, 2016 (226.1 miles)
  • Mission Creek to Onyx Summit – April 8 to 10, 2019 (26.0 miles)
  • Onyx Summit to Between Woods Creek and Pinchot Pass – May 6 to June 22, 2016 (549.1 miles)
  • Between Woods Creek and Pinchot Pass to Ebbetts Pass – July 16 to August 6, 2021 (247.2 miles)
  • Ebbetts Pass to US Hwy 50 (South Lake Tahoe) – September 22 to 25, 2023 (hiked in opposite [southern] direction – presented in a northerly direction) (42.7 miles)
  • US Hwy 50 (South Lake Tahoe) to Cascade Locks – June 26 to August 23, 2016 (1,053.3 miles)
  • Cascade Locks to Stevens Pass – July 11 to August 1, 2019 (317.4 miles)

We also sat down to do a “deep dive” on our PCT adventure. Over our 182 days of trekking we experienced so much and wanted to share our insights in a longer format. This video takes you through our seven-year saga of successes and setbacks on our 2,650-mile trek, with video and photo highlights from the trail. We also discuss our lessons learned about conditioning, gear, and weight management, as well as some of the trail conditions we faced.
